Distinct Early Serological Signatures Track with SARS-CoV-2 Survival

Journal Abstract: This study profiles SARS-CoV-2-specific humoral responses in a cohort of hospitalized individuals to explore differences in clinical outcomes. Distinct antibody signatures were identified, with convalescent individuals exhibiting enriched spike-specific responses, while elevated functional antibody responses to the nucleocapsid were observed in those with more severe trajectories. These findings emphasize the importance of functional humoral immunity in guiding patient care and informing vaccine development.
